Aurdal station
From Bjørgo station you cycle through several rock cuts before you cross the road (E16) to Fagernes after a kilometre. The corridor continues on the other side of the road in a remote area. After four kilometres you pass Aurdal station. The station building burned down in 1999, but you will see a picture of it on an information board.
Leira station
The Valdres Line will then continue along the road for a while. After seven kilometres you will pass the yellow station building of Leira. Until 2002 this was the terminal station after the track was dismantled between Leira and Fagernes in 1991.
Beautiful part
When you have passed the village centre of Leira, you cycle along the lake Strondafjorden. You should sit down and enjoy the beautiful surroundings when the cycle road passes round the promontory. The Valdres Line used to go through the mountain here, but the tunnel was blown up in 1991 to make more space for the E16.
Fagernes station
Continue along the cycle and footpath pass the petrol station. After a couple of hundred metres you will see a white building and a small locomotive on your right. You have now reach Fagernes station.
