Nature reserve
It will take approximately two hours to cycle back and forth to Foss-Eikeland. The corridor goes slightly downhill from Figgjo station, and you will cycle through a nature reserve on you way close to Figgjo river. You will pass several former railway stops on your way.
Beautiful bridge
Since the track is cut north of Figgjo station, you need to start on the other side of the road Åslandsbakken. When you walk towards the parked draisines, you will pass under a beautiful stone arch bridge. From here take a left up to the railway corridor. You will get a great view of the area when you reach the top.
Bråstein halt
Be careful when you start to pedal downhill so you don's derail. The first building you pass on your right is the porcelain factory Figgjo Fajanse. From here you will cycle close to Figgjo river the next two kilometres. This is undoubtedly the most spectacular part of the trip. You have reached Bråstein halt when you pass an area with double tracks.
Møgedalshølen
After Bråstein you will pass the nature reserve Møgedalshølen, which is a popular place for sports fishers. If you are lucky you may spot the white-throated dipper in this area, which is known as Norway’s national bird. After you have cycled a couple of kilometres through a forest you must return back to Figgjo since the railway bridge is closed. Foss-Eikeland halt was situated about 700 metres further away on the other side of the river.
