At Reidvintunet, an open air museum at Holmestrand, there is a hidden treasure. Here you can follow three kilometres of the Holmestrand—Vittingfoss Line as a rail trail. You will pass a small railway museum with one of Glosimodt's original railway kiosks from the late 1800s.

Rebuilt track
After you have followed the river for a while through a thick forest, you will discover the track on the ground. You have now reach Reidvintunet. 150 metres of track and several railway buildings have been rebuilt by the museum association "Vestfold Privatbaner " The outdoor museum is usually open on Sundays.
Railway kiosk
The yellow station building with its platform is just a copy of Ramnes Station on the Tønsberg—Eidsfoss Line, a nearby railway which shared track with the Holmestrand—Vittingfoss Line. On the other side of the track you will see one of Glosimodt's original railway kiosks from the late 1800s – one of the highlights along the trail. It has been restored by the museum association and was probably located at Hvittingfoss Station.
Hildestad plattform
About 400 metres further ahead you will pass a halt called Hildestad Plattform. The platform is still visible, just before you cross the road. From here the rail trail continues as an overgrown forest path.
Hildestad Station
The corridor will join the county road after it has passed under a bridge and an area of lush vegetation. This is also where the railway shared the same track with the Tønsberg—Eidsfoss Line to Hof. Hilestad Station was located 200 metres further north near the roundabout and was demolished in the 1970s.
