The Old Drammen Line is a popular rail trail among bikers and hikers. In the winter months, ski trails are constructed between Great Røken Tunnel and Lierbyen. You will pass two tunnels and several abandoned stations on your way.

Spikkestad Station
The Old Drammen Line starts where the tracks now end on the Spikkestad Line, which is the name of the old Drammen route between Asker and Spikkestad. You will find the trail between the church and the old station building.
Great Røken Tunnel
The first hundred metres of the trail was opened in 2022. It continues as a cycleway about 200 metres before it goes left along a gravel road through dense forest. After 800 metres you must enter an 213-metre lit tunnel.
Gullaug Halt
When you come out of the tunnel, you get a fantastic view of the Drammen fjord and Lierdalen valley. After 600 metres you must pass another tunnel, but this is only 36 metres long. You will find benches and a platform at the station area where you can rest. There is a visitor information board about the Old Drammen Line on the platform.
Reistad Halt
After a kilometre the trail becomes wider, and that's because this part had double tracks. When you reach Reistad Halt after another two kilometres, the rail corridor is broken. The Old Drammen Line continues on the other side of the road, which you can cross at the roundabout.
Train pub
The Old Drammen Line crosses under the E18 motorway bridge and ends in Hegsbroveien after 1.5 kilometres. Go left and cross the bridge over Lier River. Then take the first road on your right towards the bus terminal. You will see the two yellow station buildings on the left before the roundabout. You have now arrived Old Lier Station where the Lier Line branched off. Until the pandemic, there used to be a train pub in the freight station and the wagons outside.
Kjellstad Station
The track has been replaced by road in Lierbyen, so continue southward pass the parking lot and further along the Hegsbroveien. You will find the rail trail on the other side of the roundabout after one kilometre. After 1.5 kilometres you will pass Kjellstad Station to the right, but the station building has been demolished. When you approach Brakerøya, the rail trail continues as a cycleway along the motorway.
